The organizers of the 10th International Conference on Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA2012) have the great pleasure of inviting you to participate in the DEA2012 Conference, now scheduled on August 27-30, 2012 at the 5-star Pestana Resort Hotel in the beautiful beach city of Natal, Brazil.  Special travel and hotel rates have been negotiated to make the conference trip budget friendly.

DEA2012 plans to bring together researchers and practitioners interested in the development of the DEA methodology and its applications to performance management in both public and private sectors.  Theoretical and empirical papers on DEA and related fields in efficiency and productivity analysis are also invited.  We specially welcome papers on Energy and Regulation and on Health Performance Management, two special themes for the Conference.  DEA2012 will also feature several panel discussions and presentations on DEA in practice related to these themes.

Natal is the fastest growing tourist destination in Brazil located in its north-east corner closest to Europe and Africa.  Natal is known for its natural beauty and breath-taking beaches, and its popular Brazilian dances and Carnatal celebrations. Visitors can go on a buggy ride over 30-foot sand dunes or go diving and snorkeling near dolphin beaches, when they are not admiring the 16th century naval fortress and Portuguese colonial style architecture in the city.
